Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme was started in the year 2022. The MCA programme is structured on a credit based system following the semester pattern with continuous evaluation. The duration of the MCA programme of the KTU will be two years consisting of four semesters.

The syllabus of the MCA course focuses on advanced theoretical and practical knowledge about computer application development and programming languages. An MCA degree helps students to pick up skills to develop tools that enhance the working of applications.

Professionals with an MCA degree are sought after in various fields like IT, Medical Sciences, and Engineering. These fields need advanced knowledge in the working of computers.

Some of the core subjects that are taught during MCA programme are Advanced Datastructures, Advanced Software Engineering, Digital fundamental & Computer Architecture, Advance Database Management Systems, Advance Computer Networks, Data Science & Machine learning etc. The syllabus also includes practical lab sessions on Mobile Application development, Data Science, Web programming, Networking & System administration , Advanced DBMS etc.

MCA programme aims to equip students with state-of-the-art technical skills which proves highly effective in strengthening their career. While pursuing the programme students get excellent hands-on training on trailblazing technologies.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates should have passed BCA/Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent Degree OR passed B.Sc./B.Com/BA with Mathematics at 10 + 2 level or at Graduation level.

Candidates should have obtained at least 50 % marks in the Degree examination. It is 45 % in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category.
